Disneyland

Disneyland was SO much MORE fun that I thought it was going to be!!! Neither Eric or I have been since we were really little so we didn't know quite what to expect, especially with two kids. But it was so much fun. We were able to spend five days going back and forth between Disneyland and California Adventures. I am glad that we decided to take our time and not try and cram everything into only 3 or 4 days. The first day we just wondered around both parks not really knowing where to start. We finally ended up in California Adventure and to see the PlayHouse Disney Show and the Pixar Parade. Both were wonderful. If anyone asks David about Disneyland the first thing he will tell them about is 'putting the fire out' (fix the smoking bubble machine), 'Go Pat! Go Pat!', and Big Jet. This was the Playhouse Disney Show. It was really cute. You get to help Handy Manny, the Tools, Little Einsteins, and Tigger & Pooh, and all the characters from Micky Mouse Clubhouse plan a surprise birthday party for Minnie. Next was the Pixar Parade. They had all the charaters from all the Pixar movies. All the floats had people dancing, spraying water, singing, and at the very end there were bubbles EVERYWHERE!!

The fist night we walked back through Disneyland to get on the Monorail to get back to our hotel. Well David was paying a lot better attention than we thought because the next morning the first thing he said when he woke up was that he wanted to go under (through) the castle and go fly on Dumbo!! If you haven't been to Disneyland...Dumbo is one of the first things so get to after walking through the castle. After Dumbo was the Tea Cups. The thing that surprised me the most about Disneyland was how many rides we could ALL go on together. Even little Abigayle was able to go on most of the rides. (She didn't get to go on the teacups though. The teacups make me sick and somebody had to keep my company) Any ride we went on David wanted to go on the orange one. The orange teacup, the orange, dumbo, the orange car in Autopia...the funny thing is everyone of them he was able to do!
David did really goo on all the rides but one. The Go Coaster in Toon Town. The first time he went with me and was fine until we started walking off the ride. Then the tears came. The second time he really wanted to go with Eric...so we figured why not! The end result...

That is so funny. Andie wanted to ride EVERY ride - except for the little rollercoaster in toon town. I decided to take her anyways. She was nervous and scared until AFTER the ride where she was excited and kept saying, "Again, Again, Again!!"

Funny how David was opposite!

I'm so glad you have a great time. Looks so fun. We need to go as a whole extended family in 3 years!
